The very long history, made short, is that my demonic ancestors were made by some rather evil magic-users that wished to take over the world. However, people fought back, including many of the original demons.
The sexuality part of cubi comes from two main sources. The first is that we can draw magical power from intimate activity. The second is that as a group, cubi developed a rather open culture around our bodies and relationships.
Rather than hiding what we are, the thought is to be as authentic as possible. I've not always held to that ideal, but as I've grown up I've tried to be better about it.
