A little bit - a few things seem to work, but I need to really dig in to figure it out.

[Rinku blushes a little and giggles. She throws her arms around Amy -- easier now with them both sitting -- and hugs tightly. Within seconds she's grown ossicones and a tail and changed her ears. Pettable Mode always makes things better.]

[Amy giggles and goes to pet Pettable Mode Rinku, wrapping her other arm around her.]

[Rinku gives a satisfied hum and nuzzles her. What happened to being embarrassed?]

Eh? Is it silly? I just thought since it feels nice and I like it, and you like it, and other people like it too, that it's fine.

Maybe that's a lot of things. Sometimes it's hard for me to get people, or for them to get me, even though I don't think I'm very complicated.

[Nuzzle nuzzle, all the while running her fingers through Amy's quills and wiggling them.]

[She giggles as she feels those fingers playing with her quills]

[Rinku snuggles her and kisses the top of her head.]

Do you ever wanna go out sometime? I mean, Paulo-san asked me on a date the other day, so I figured I wanted to ask you for one too. If that's okay.

[It's weird to figure out what is and isn't okay after turning down a confession with "I do feel the same but I don't want anyone to be more special than anyone else and I reluctantly acknowledge I can't date literally the entire city (or at least the ones in my age bracket and not related to me)."]
